Our editor

Frances Follin began her career in the printing industry, producing corporate annual reports and other financial materials, and fine art catalogues and commercial colour publications, for a City printing company.


Later she worked in financial advertising and in print production roles for training materials publishers before founding Genesys with her two original partners (since retired).


She has many years’ experience of editing and producing a wide variety of texts and has a wide range of contacts gained during her career.

Qualifications

Frances holds three degrees from London University:

  • BSc Biology
  • BA Art History
  • PhD Art History

Communications, Advertising and Marketing Education Foundation (CAM) Certificate in Communications Studies with Distinction in Communications Practice

CAM Diploma in Advertising and Marketing with Distinction in Marketing Strategy

Professional associations 

Frances is an Advanced Professional member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP), and a member of the Association for Art History (AAH). She has served as a trustee of the AAH and has presented papers at AAH conferences and elsewhere, and has spoken and run workshops at conferences held by SfEP (the forerunner of CIEP). She is currently a trustee of the Bridget Riley Art Foundation. Frances has an entry in the CIEP Directory of Members
